How to play
How do I register?
In order to enter the Sporting Life Pick 7 Game, you need to register with Sky Bet. Just click on Register, complete your personal details and choose a User ID and PIN to register. If you have a Sky Bet account, you can use your Sky Bet User ID and PIN for a quicker and easier way to sign up for Pick 7, plus you’ll be able to use the same User ID and PIN for Sky Vegas, Sky Poker, Sky Bingo, Sky Casino, Super 6 and Sky Sports Fantasy Football.
How do I win?
A player must select one horse in all seven Pick 7 races and also submit an answer to the tie-break question before submitting their Pick 7 entry. The tie break question is ‘What is the winning distance of the first Pick 7 race in that round’. If two or more players select all 7 winners, then the winner is the player who gets closest to the answer of the tie-break. If two or more players are jointly closest to the tie-break question answer, then the competition prize will be split equally amongst those players. There is a £1,000 jackpot consolation prize available to a player who picks 7 winners but loses out on the jackpot prize in the tie-breaker. The £1,000 consolation prize will be awarded to the player who submitted their Pick 7 entry earliest of those players who picked 7 winners but missed out on the jackpot prize in the tie-breaker. The time of entry will be determined as per the timestamp on each player’s entry held on SkyBet servers, and the timestamp will reflect the player’s final entry time after any editing of the entry before the game round has closed.
Can I use my Sky Bet account?
Yes you can, use the same log in details as you would for Sky Bet/Sky Vegas/Sky Bingo/Sky Poker/Sky Casino/Super 6/Fantasy Football.
What happens if one of my Pick 7 selections is a non-runner?
If one of your selections is a non-runner, then that selection automatically transfers on to the SP favourite in that race. If there are joint or co-favourites in that race, your selection becomes the joint or co favourite with the lowest racecard number.
What happens if there is a Dead Heat?
In the event of a Dead heat, both selections count as winners.
What happens if one of the races are void/abandoned/not completed?
If any Pick 7 race is postponed, abandoned or not completed the race will be considered void. If only six Pick 7 races are completed during any week the Jackpot Competition prize available for that week will be reduced to £500. If only five Pick 7 races are completed during any week the Jackpot Competition prize available for that week will be reduced to £250. If four or fewer Pick 7 fixtures are completed during any Pick 7 round, the Jackpot will be £100. If 6 or fewer Pick 7 races are completed on any given game week, the £1,000 jackpot consolation fund is not available.
What happens if no one picks all 7 winners?
On completion of a Pick 7 game round where no player has selected all 7 winners, the best performing player will receive £1,000 cash. The best performing player is determined by having picked the most winners and placed horses in the round, without picking 7 winners. In order, the best performing player will be determined using the following ranked score system:
- 6 wins, 1 placed
- 6 wins, 0 placed, 1 unplaced
- 5 wins, 2 placed
- 5 wins, 1 placed, 1 unplaced
- 5 wins, 0 placed, 2 unplaced
- 4 wins, 3 placed
- 4 wins, 2 placed, 1 unplaced
- 4 wins, 1 placed, 2 unplaced
- 4 wins, 0 placed, 3 unplaced
If no players picked 7 winners, and no players picked 6 winners either, then the best performing player is the player who picked 5 winners with 2 placed horses. If no player picked 5 winners with 2 placed horses, then the best performing player is the player with a record of 5 winners, 1 placed, and 1 unplaced horse, and so on. In the event of a tie, the winner will be settled using the tie-break question. If a tie-break cannot settle players, then prize will be awarded to the player who submitted their Pick 7 entry earliest of those players, who are tied for first place and achieved a correct tie-break answer. The time of entry will be determined as per the timestamp on each player’s entry held on SkyBet servers. The timestamp on a player’s entry will reflect the time that the player submitted their entry. If the player edited their entry after first submission but before the game round closed then the timestamp will reflect the time that the final edit was confirmed by the player.
